reindeer color wheel

For this color wheel, I was inspired by the Christmas spirit.  I used images from the web that reminded me of Christmas and gave each of them a photo filter (red-chimney; orange-poinsettias; yellow-stocking bell; green- fire place; blue- wrapping paper; purple- Christmas tree).  I used a simple background because I didn't want the image to be too busy.  I enjoyed doing this project because it related to the upcoming holiday.

hands

For this project, I took pictures of hands doing normal things(red-praying; orange-typing; yellow-holding hands; green-painted hand print; blue-opening a door; purple- washing hands) and then put them inside a hand stencil and gave them each a distinct effect and color to add interest.  Then for the background, I used a colorful paint spill and incorporated hands as well.  I really enjoyed doing this project because you could customize everything to exactly how you wanted it to be.

CD Cover

King of Anything
For this project we had to create a CD cover for a song.  My song was called 'King of Anything.'  I used the contrast tool for the lion, the desaturate tool for the words, and the type mask tool to cut the words from the background.

Horsefly

For this image I cut the wings from a butterfly and smeared them a little so they looked like they were connected to the horse.  I also used the dodge tool to make the wings lighter so they fit in with the light of the whole picture.

kaliediscope

For this image I cut the orignial image into a single triangle and then mirrored and mulitplied it to create this affect.

LOVE

This post is very similar to the four suns.  I created a grid and did a new filter for each square.  I also played a lot with the contrast and white and black balance.  Then I added a heart border and a heart background.

Emily and Colum!!

For this I mirrored the image.  I also added different filter for each square.
Four Suns
For this I used one image and flipped and mirrored it multiple times.  I used a different filter for each and added a cross to separate them.

About Me Silhouette

About Me Silhouette
I used the blur tool and cut things out.  I used pictures of things that describe me.

The Emlum
The Emlum (made by Colum and me) consists of a lizard tail, tiger body, kangaroo back legs, zebra front legs, giraffe neck, eagle head, and deer antlers.  We used the burn tool frequently to blend the image in with the background and to create its shadow.  We also used the smudge tool to make it look like they were all one animal.

15 Green Things

15 Green Things
I took 15 unrelated green things and made this scene of a mother and her son walking from their car.  I decided to do this scene because it was the only way i saw I could use the people.  I used a lot of color replacement, opacity settings, and cutting out different aspects of each picture to use.
